Where it comes from
This platform grew out of Cognivia, a research project exploring how learning interactions can inform learner state. We are developing the infrastructure needed for other learning platforms to use and evaluate those ideas with their own content.
Cognivia continues as a separate research project. No research participant data is used in this product.
§ 3 Goal
What we are working toward
OutFigure's goal is to measure whether AI actually helped someone learn. Not whether a tutor produced a good answer, but whether the learner can later show the skill without help, whether it lasts, and whether the teaching caused the improvement.
Each of those needs different evidence: independent responses, time, and fair comparisons. They are built and tested in that order, and results will be published only once they exist. None exist today.

Where things stand
- Working software, tested on synthetic data.
- No customers, pilots or revenue yet.
- No learning-outcome, prediction or efficacy results yet.
- A hosted sandbox is in preparation.
